Another couple was caught on camera having sex in public, recently. Bystanders were shocked to see a young couple have intercourse against the sidewalk railings outside Orchard Towers and a video capturing the incident has been circulating online.

This latest incident comes after another couple were caught in a similarly compromising position in March as they engaged in sexual acts along Nathan Road in River Valley. The acts in that case took place directly outside a preschool, Brighton Montessori.

In that case, a bystander tried to tell the couple off but ended up getting scolded by the woman instead:

“I drove past a lane in Nathan Road and surprisingly, saw a couple having sex by the side of the road, opposite Fraser Suites.
“The woman was naked and the guy was caressing her. Moments later, the lady performed a sex act on him openly in public.
“Honestly, it went on for like 45 minutes, throughout the whole time while I was waiting for my passenger (who turned out to be a no-show).
“The couple ignored passers-by who took photos of them. When I asked them what they were doing, the woman told me to ‘f**k off’. What a life, yeah?”

This latest incident also follows several incidents of couples having sex in full view of the public in recent times:

Although such cases are increasing in frequency, those caught engaging in sexual acts in public risk being slapped with public indecency charges under the Miscellaneous Offenses (Public Order and Nuisance) Act.

Those who are found guilty of public indecency may face a $2000 fine and 3-month jail term if convicted, according to the the law:

“Any person who appears nude (a) in a public place; or (b) in a private place and is exposed to public view, shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $2,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 3 months or to both.”
