What is the aim of the Expo?

Chinese President Xi Jinping announced China would hold the annual China International Import Expo in 2018 while addressing the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in May 2017.

A major decision for the Chinese government is to press ahead with a new round of opening-up. China has taken the initiative to open its markets to the world. China’s economy has shifted from a high-speed growth stage to a high-quality development stage, and demand for quality, specialty goods and services is more and more present.

By opening up and sharing the Chinese market, countries around the world can display their own national image and an open international cooperation platform will be established for international trade cooperation.

It is not only conducive to meeting the needs of the Chinese people for a better life, but also promotes trade and open markets, deepens economic globalization and builds an open world economy, creating conditions for building a shared future for mankind.

Is there an App that can help me get a general idea of what the expo is about?

with the World Trade Organization, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, and is presented by the China International Import Expo Bureau and the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai).
